Miss Vanessa and I spent part of the day getting ready for our new school year! We are so excited for our new year and new friends. Our theme this year is MONKEYS!!! :)
Here is our August wrap up!!!...Unfortunately I was on vacation for the last week before school started and Travis was sick the week before that, so I missed so much.
All of our pre-k teachers want to wish our kindergarten friends good luck at school...2 more days! We know they will do well...they had amazing preschool teachers of course! :)
This was the beginning of our frog prince for medieval week...We also had a sword fight (with foam swords) which was another highlight of the week!
Practicing our prewriting skills thanks to 1+1+1=1 blogspot worksheets
Sensory Tubs are ALWAYS fun! Here is our blue water and boats water table!!!
Our completed frog prince and princesses since this one has eyelashes!! How cute :)
This was our sensory tub from Jungle and Safari Week! It was animals in the grass with touch and feel animal cards which the kids love. I hate love using split peas...the kids love to decorate the floor with it!
These were our cute monkeys that hung from the ceiling. The kids made the monkeys and had to tell us what they would do if they were a monkey! This little one would "tell her friends that there were a lot of banans in the trees"...so sweet! Oh and by the way...monkeys ONLY eat bananas. I tried to tell my kiddos that they eat bugs off each other's heads and that didn't go over so well...EWWW!!
These were our dragons from medieval week. Once again, they had to tell us what they would do if they were a dragon!...
Watercolor snakes in the grass...
Did you know it was National Ice Cream Day??? Of course that means that Miss Danielle HAS TO HAVE an ice cream themed day! We made handprint ice cream cones with REAL sprinkles and shared ice cream with the preschool room next door!
Snakes in the water!!
Our capital and lowercase matching jungle animal letters!
Counting bananas!...
Our safari giraffes...I forgot to take pictures of the completed giraffes but they were super cute! We used strips of ribbon and fingerprinted spots...so so so cute!
These were our alligator handprints which we then glued teeth on to make scary! LOVE THEM!!!
All of my fun activities and you know what the kids loved the most...using magnifying glasses to look at pictures of safari and jungle animals. Every couple seconds you hear, "Miss Danielle, what's this?" and of course it's some strange animal I've never heard of!!!
And on a personal note...MY BABY IS CRAWLING!
I can't believe how BIG he is!!! He's major trouble now!!
We can't wait for our new school year!!!!!
Danielle
